I received this a few weeks ago and it's just a tad too small. This jacket is gorgeous! The horsehide is probably 3.5 oz and very comfortable. The measurements reflect the sheepskin lining.

The sizing for this '44' is (approximately);
P2P; 23.5" - 24" (stretched)
Sleeve; 25.5"
Back; 25.5"
Shoulder; 20.5"
Waist; 22"
Asking $1000.00

Hi Wilbur,

Desirable jacket!

24" P 2 P would be a little tight (wouldn't allow for a sweatshirt) but doable, however, the sheepskin lining is a concern for me, does it knock off an inch or so on the P 2 P in your opinion?

What are the sleeves lined with?

To answer both questions I would say a size 42 would be pretty close as the sheepskin does reduce the chest size. As to needing a sweatshirt with this jacket, probably not it's warm with the quilted lining in the sleeves and the sheepskin.

If you're in the States and can afford this jacket, you'd have to be crazy not to buy it. That's a 100/10, ultimate winter piece. The jacket is basically brand new and I've never seen anything like it, even from other makers. It's either this or paying the full price for another one.

Shearling as a lining eats away a good 1.5" to 2" in jacket space. I've been experimenting with making shearling vests and I can only wear them under jackets that are 24" or more P2P, even though I normally wouldn't wear anything larger than 22.5" in the chest.

If I am a standard 42, 18/19 shoulder, 22/23 chest you think this would work for me in 44 because of lining? I wear 38 aero hway and Hercules, 42 simmons bilt, 42/Large schott. 6'1 195

It might, double check the sleeve length though.

Ok here is the original thread from Dan_T with photos etc. I think he is a Size 42. For me the fit was perfect around the shoulders and pit to pit as a 44 but it is not a good fit in the mid section and too tight unless I loose about 15 lbs. There is a lot of discussion and fit pics so peruse and I think you will arrive at a better understanding of the fit of this jacket.

Honestly all, if you are in any way considering this - just grab it. It is an absolutely superb jacket in every way. I’d actually like to purchase it back, but sadly have already spent my pennies.....
I usually wear a standard 42 in an Aero cafe racer style jacket.
This was oh so close for me, but ultimately I don’t layer underneath and like tighter fitting jackets, so chose to move it on. The only other reason is that I couldn’t see me getting any wear out of this beauty in Sydney’s warmer climate. That really was the deciding factor for me.
