Lost Worlds Bedford Olive Horsehide Carcoat - Fit pics - Keeper or Seller??

Hey guys,
I'm still torn whether or not keeping or selling my LW Bedford in olive HH (3.5oz). I love the color, style and workmanship of this jacket - it is truly in similar/same quality range as the Freewheelers jackets even if the horsehide they use is totally different but stitches, details, liner, etc. are on same quality level in my opinion. This makes it more difficult to sell. I lost weight in the last couple of months and when just wearing the Bedford with one layer (t-shirt of longsleeve shirt) it is too loose but when wearing a hoody or thicker sweater it feels and looks good IMO. What do you think? Keep it or sell it? By the way - the first pic the more the real color - capturing the real color is difficult (please excuse the poor quality of some pics - I just had not more time to take more pics). Thank you in advance!
Cheers,
Robbie

The fit is good, but the colour would make me feel like a garden gnome...
If green is your thing it looks fine.

Keep it. The color is incredible and the fit looks great to me. Carcoats look awful if they are too tight, and this one sits well on you. IMO the jacket should be a little large with just a T-shirt as these coats are meant to sit over a buttoned shirt or light jacket/sport coat. Furthermore, this jacket will give you a lot of variety with your Centinela. In a strictly value driven consideration you're better off keeping it as well. You won't get what you paid for it, and I think hanging onto it will give you better value trade off long term. Not every jacket needs to be worn daily, I have a number of jackets that I love but also realize I will only wear a handful of times a year. It can be refreshing to keep a bolder piece like this to be worn occasionally and give you a break from riding some of your daily/weekly pieces. I think you could potentially regret prematurely selling off this jacket--you designed it, and it fits you well. As far as I can tell there's no real reason to get rid of it.

Thanks for your positive feedback - the green does more look dark (first pic) than bright on the one picture. Your're basically right since normally blue, black and brown (leather jackets) are my preferred colours, however I like this green (some days more, some days less)

Thank you for your honest feedback. I paid about 2000€ for it (incl. VAT and import duty) and don't want to burn money, that's why I'm asking all of you for honest feedback. I know the dark green is not everyone's cup of tea but for some reason I like it. If the quality of LW jackets would be worse, I would sell it, but as I said the quality / construction is on the same level as FW and GW. I really tend to keep it and think I would regret it. I sold many jackets and I never regretted selling them (basically SB, Aero, Eastman) but in this case I'm really torn as Stu makes such good leather jackets!

I like it, but I am also watching your FS thread and want to buy it. Green is different.

I have a pair of wescos morrison boots in dark green, it's an awesome color. I don't wear them every day but they're always fun. I think keeping it is the right choice, particularly since the jacket fits and has no construction issues (quite the opposite, it looks flawless). With the added import cost, it really makes no sense to sell it. Wear and enjoy!

I vote for keeping it as well. fits you perfectly Robbie and the green is super cool, unique and sets the coat apart from most run of the mill jackets in this style.

I think you have a great fit there and should keep it. Where is the Belt? Do you use it? I think with the pocket flaps out and the belt you might get a decent look as well. Good looking jacket and a guarantee of many years of wear.

Fit looks good.
I have a few LW jackets, one is a Downtown car coat and it is cut larger than the other jackets. I also use it as a winter coat. As with you, it’s kind of loose with just a T. I think that’s the way it is supposed to fit.

The fit looks fine to me. Car coats should be worn over other regular shirts, vests or sweaters. There is no reason to sell this coat.

I agree. The fit is fine! Any smaller would look wrong on this type coat. The color is spectacular! I also have a LW in the Green... it only gets better with use and age! KEEP IT!

Yes, I got the belt, too but I prefer wearing it this way, because the belt doesn't look good on me.
