Can you describe what you are looking for - one mans wide brim is another mans stingy - you should know that with all the postings you have seen from Portugal.

Details needed to avoid the back and forth of messages asking for those details.

I have a black Borsalino Trionfo with a 3.75 inch brim that I was going to have a local hatter turn into a homburg but if you would like it with the original brim, I may be willing to part with it. It is not vintage; however. It is most definitely modern.

Hi!

Definitely interested. Can you send some photos? 3.75 inch brim sounds intense. Is this an Hasidic hat?

Right!

At least 2 inches.

Portugal?

Yes. I am not Hasidic myself but it is a Hasidic style. Here is a picture of the hat sitting on an ugly hat rack.

Can I trouble you for a profile shot too? How high is the crown? How much are you asking for it?

I will try to take some pictures tonight and measure the crown. I am not actually wearing it today. This picture is actually from a few weeks ago but I wanted to get one to you today. I will also figure out a price. Are you in the US for shipping purposes?

Here are a few more pics, including a profile as requested. The crown is approximately 5 inches with the bash in it. Since it comes pre-bashed with a standard center crease, I did not measure what it would be open crowned.

I also should mention that although this hat is technically 7 1/4, I am 7 3/8 and, after only a slight adjustment with a hat stretcher, it fits me perfectly (and, as you can see in the pics, I wear it down around my ears, which means it is not the least bit snug).

Let me know if you are interested, and I will come up with a price. Alternatively, if you have a price in mind that you would be willing to pay, I am open to suggestions. Otherwise, I will probably offer it slightly less than what a similar hat on eBay would go for.

Eliesti,

Thanks for the photos, but the brim is much too wide for my liking. I'll have to skip.

I'm surprised they make such a wide brim for the non-Hasidic public.

I have a vintage fedora in black, made by Berg, in 7 1/2. It still has the price tag of $8.50. It's very beautiful, if you like black hats, which I do. Send me a PM if you're interested.

Hey! How are you? Not seeing you much lately!
Thank you for noticing, that is very perceptive of you! I'm actually doing very well, and enjoying this fall weather. I guess I've been posting less because I finally have all the hats I have ever wanted. :) I do still enjoy checking in to see if there are any new trends, and to see what folks are wearing. I occasionally post on the Fedoras in Action thread, although not since my July trip. And I still like to post in the Vintage Flat Cap thread when I run across cool historic pics. Thanks again for the greeting, you have made my day!

Well it was very sweet of you to say so...and a nice thing to see you posting. You are so blessed to be able to travel and when you share pictures of it with us it is so wonderful.

Good to know you are doing well. Bless you and your family!
