Looking for fit check on Aero cafe racer

Hi everyone. I purchased an Aero jacket in the most recent sale and was hoping to get some fit feedback. This is my first real non-fast fashion leather jacket I’ve ever owned, so I’m not familiar with fit outside of them typically looking like overstylized leather cling wrap.



I’m a pretty scrawny guy, and my main concerns are with the upper arms and what I perceive to be excess fabric at the upper back. I believe this is from the jacket “muffining” due to the heftier panel at the lower back, but I’m not sure if that typically settles over time or if I’m overemphasizing something that it normal with these styles of jackets. Part of it may also be posture. Maybe this style of jacket just isn’t for me, and that’s fine too.

Friend, give it to you straight. The jacket does not work for you. Perhaps you can get a different cut of a jacket? The arms are also too short. There are solutions for your body type. Just need to find the right one that works for you.

I think you'd be far happier with the Primier Highwayman. The cut of this jacket just isn't doing you any favors. I can't help but think there's some kind of pattern issue/failure going on in the back. What hide is it? Seems strangely drape-y

Agreed. There's something odd going on with this jacket. Aero's Cafe Racer usually looks very well worn just about anyone, while this jacket... Doesn't. It appears to be simultaneously too small and too big.

Did you ask Holly or Chloe at Aero about sizing?

I also had the muffin back on mine. I love Aero but their Cafe Racer is no go for me either. I assume you got it during the sale. Send it back and exchange for a different jacket. I think the leather is Jerky right? It's good leather. The only red core, not tea core leather.

The pattern of this jacket does not work with your body type and the arms are way too short.

Sorry to say, but that jacket doesn't do you any favours. Return to sender. Something also looks off with the pattern on this one.... plus, what's gone wrong with the collar? Looks like it's folded over on itself on one side...

Agreed, fit is not ideal. But I think it would look better with jeans and black tee shirt.

Thanks everyone, for the input and confirmation on the upper back. As far as I know I can send it back, so I’ll give it a shot. I saw a few fits on here from others with similar body types who wore the board racer well. I might go with a custom.
