Thanks man! I made up my mind with a lightweight B3 thanks to SpeedRcrX, what's your B3 color combination? I searched on the internet, and found I like the trim color to be Russet (the most 'yellow' one), but I also like Redskin, I never find a photo of Redskin/Russet combination, don't know if it still get the beautiful color contrast as the Seal/Russet. Any idea?

I believe this is the original listing for my jacket. So it's Redskin with Dark Seal Vicenza Horsehide trim.

This is mine, Aero redskin with russet Vicenza trim. I asked for the trim colour to be lighter than the sheepskin.

Looks great! So we can basically ask them to make the trim color lighter? And BTW what's the difference between Vicenza and Jerkey, one has a lighter color than the other?

I’m not sure to be honest, I’ve never seen Jerky in the flesh. Vicenza should age quickly which should look cool. I imagine the colour depends on what they have in stock.

Thanks, I have ordered a lightweighted one with seal and vinceza russet. I ordered from the AERO, Ken help me through the details, I didn't know their CEO will do the sales job himself, or just a guy happened to have the same exact name as their CEO.

Thanks for the info, I decided to go with SEAL and RUSSET, since I like the contrast color

CEO doing sales well... it’s not like we are talking about a multinational corporate giant. It’s just a small family business ;)

There are rumours that AVI LTHR are planning a sheepskin jacket for this winter season... Anyone heard more?

I mailed them some while ago about this and they replied they will be releasing a B-3. They couldn't give me a release date but they were hoping it would arrive in December or January. I'm just hoping the fit will be suitable for me, because their current jackets aren't suited for my body shape.

P.S.: I didn't want to post anything until I have decent pictures of my first A-2, but after seeing your post about the AVI winter jacket I just had to reply :D

If it was Ken Calder, that's the one and only!

I'm looking for a first shearling jacket, figured I could use something that would be warm for winters.
I've been eyeing RAF Cockpit Jacket or Schott B-3, but those jacket just seems so puffy, like making me look like I have 20 kilos extra on me.

At the same time, when I saw those jackets from Cockpit,

Their model pictures

Their site pictures:

On these pictures they actually look quite good but I can't seem to wrap my head around the fact that when you check their website, the color is totally different and they just seem like it's not even the same jacket, but they did confirm it is (Or maybe the color of the sheepskin varies?). I'm looking forward to some suggestions on what to do. Are these jackets quite puffy and big in general due to the amount of material inside or is that more of a fit thing? I'm looking towards having fit like the ones on the first pictures, in this particular color. Thank you!

The shearling does have thickness to it, especially at 1" length.

That last photo, on cockpitusa's website, looks like an exceptionally poor fit.
Shoulder seams off the shoulder, and the whole body looks like it has a lot of extra room inside that it shouldn't have. The model is likely slimmer than the cut of this jacket is intended for, and should have sized down. It's hard to understand why the merchant went with this photo to sell their product.

Try this and they can customize it in size and colors . Several people have praised this maker here.

I actually don't understand it either, it's actually quite deterring when wanting to purchase a jacket, their picture don't put much trust in wanting to purchase the product, that's certain.

edit: overlook the fact that it wasn't about the product photo of 5* :D

Yes, the product images from fivestar are really bad. Nevertheless, the company is worth recommending if you want a well-made jacket according to your own measurements and perhaps your own ideas. The search here in the forum should provide some testimonials.
