Can anyone point me in the direction of where to find long flowy dressing gowns. I had several beautiful dressing gowns from the 40's, 50's, and 60's, that were my grandmother's. Such beaurtiful dressing gowns in velvets and silk, in beautiful blues and garnet colors. Some had a Victorian style with Mutton Chop sholders and fitted sleeves. Just gorgeous.
Unfortuanately they are too delicate to be of any real purpose other than just looking pretty. I've attempted to find robes and gowns in these styles, but apparently people like to wear sweats, flannel, and "athleisure wear" rather than wrap themselves up in an elegant dressing robe as they put on makeup or drink their morning coffee.
Any help out there?
