It's the KFC/McDonalds American body!
And yes, the places like LL are using China for their overpriced jackets now.
I'll take the wait and the cost of a real jacket.
I guess my best choice then is US Authentic with their military, trim cut. I'll take a chance on a 36r black, goatskin. I have a 36 inch chest, an 5'11", with a 32 inch waist and weigh less than 150 pounds.

I just wish they wouldn't associate the Flying Tigers with that jacket. I hate when they do that. For those not familiar with the Tigers, the most common jackets used were the US Navy goatskin brown M-422A with the fur collar. They did use some private purchase A2's but they were few and far between.

In all fairness, I've seen these in person, and tried them on. As for fit, it would all depend on your body and build. On me, an XL was tight around the shoulders and back, but left plenty of room for my belly to grow into it. The version with the wool insulation is actually very warm. For people who are not hung up on details such as how this item differs from an "authentic" A-2, you will be getting a reasonably priced, warm, durable jacket. This jacket will protect you from the elements, and insulate body heat. The production quality is acceptable; zippers will work, snaps will close, and stitches will not fall apart at the seams. Not everyone wants to spend a thousand dollars on a jacket. For a few hundred dollars, this will do nicely. But then again, when I'm spending hundreds of dollars, I look into all of my available options. And out here where I live, there are a lot of options.
