Hey folks, lets see your vintage musical instruments. I'm sure there are fellow FLoungers who love old music and the tools that made classic sounds. Let's just keep it focused on genuine old instruments, or at the very least authentic replicas.
I'll start. Here is my 1948 Kay M-1B (the "B" stands for blonde) bass. She's strung with raw gut stings, fitted with an Underwood pickup, and setup for playing "tick tack" style slap base. Mostly I play county 'n' western, hillbilly boogie and a bit of rockabilly. In a former life, she belonged to a guy who played base for America's Polka King, Frankie Yankovic.
