It looks like it's going to be a lot of fun. Just saw a bit on the Reels Channel and rather enjoyed what I caught there. Love the look & feel of it.

Clooney, Krasinski and great women's outfits on Renee? I'm so there! Everything that's in the theaters right now is so depressing, it's hard to wait for April for this one to premiere.

Hey Marlowe, it's scheduled to open April 4th:)

I'm really looking forward to this film. I've been peeking at the trailers on Apple for a few weeks now and it looks like fun, also like it's gonna be a great clothes movie. I'm not a star struck type of gal, but when it comes to George Clooney, *swoon*. So Clooney in vintage is magnificent to me. I really enjoy his acting, and he seems to have that "O'Brother Where Art Thou" thing going on in this, in terms of silly personality and that great twangy voice of his.

I don't go to the movies very much, just not a big fan of the large theaters, and the smaller ones around here don't typically play blockbusters. I always say "Ooh, I'm gonna see that" then never do. But, this year there seems to be so many good movies that I'm actually gonna see in the theater. This is one of them. I'm looking forward to seeing it, and to hearing what you all think of it when it does come out next month.

Cheers,
Daisy

Looks very cute, I'll go see it! Confused by the odd mismash of decades, though. Renee looks much more 30's, even almost 40's in many scenes, and the choice of Sing, Sing, Sing in the background surprised me -- but I guess most people can't tell the difference between eras, and it all looks good! Looking forward to the Rosalind Russell/His Girl Friday aspect of the movie.

I thought the same thing! I was like wait why are they playing sing sing sing! Although i am excited to see it.

I'm really looking forward to this one, too. My late father in law was a place kicker (drop kicker, for those who remember it) for the Frankfurt Yellowjackets, in Philly, in 1928 and 29, when he was just 16 and 17. He played under an assumed name "Sam Bernard", because he was underage. He'd come home after a game with more money than his dad had made in a week. He had great stories. He also played semi-pro baseball. He once told me "Daniel, the toughest pitcher I ever hit against was Satchel Paige". You and everybody else who ever faced him. I've heard that those funny looking leather helmets could give as good or better protection to the skull as the modern ones.

I noticed the same thing. I love it all, but all together...it's sort of odd.

Still gonna see it because my sentiments about George CLooney are pretty much the same as most of the ladies here. ;) wowza.

I thought the exact same thing when I saw the trailer in the theater. Really looking forward to seeing this. It's a nice change from all the "heavy" subject movies out there. I'm not a big theater person, either, but I think I'll make an exception for this one. :)

Hooray for George! He had a film opening in Maysville, KY yesterday. He grew up in Augusta, KY (nearby) and wanted to share some of his fun with the home folks!

I read that Clooney is on a "whistlestop" train trip to promote the movie. It is amazing....Leatherheads, Mrs Pettigrew, Atonement, Dillinger...I am sensing a trend in the mainstream comeback for Golden Age.

I went and saw this tonight.

Tons of hat porn. Lots of nice suits and overcoats, too.

As for the movie itself, it was decent. Much of the humor is more subtle so it's not really a "bust out loud" type movie but it had its moments.
I recommend it.
