I think a good measuring stick for this length of jacket - i.e a Hercules or a teamster - is can you access the side pockets on your jeans. With my herc I need to dip one shoulder to make that happen. With your teamster, at that length, I think you'll have access and a length that will be spot on

Schitz, how do your HB and Herc jackets feel when you are sitting in a chair and in a car, and do you notice an appreciable difference between the two?

well at the minute buddy there is a world of difference. The HB I can drive in without realising it's there, but the herc definitely is! Especially if it's zipped all the way up. I'll give you a fuller more precise report of the differences later on, when I get back from a drive in it.

As I recall though, driving in the HB statted out uncomfortable too

@schitz: I sure hope you didn't take my pos(s) as being mean-spirited. I never want to do that. I do however believe in being honest, and I do you no favors telling you something you want to her vs what I think in trying to be constructive. The only thing that does matter is if you like it. But when we post here asking for advice/comments, I feel it's best to try and be up front. Meant in the most sincere fashion :)

I believe that the question I posed earlier is regarding the difference between a jacket at or 1" below the beltline vs. one that is 3-4" below the beltline. I believe that I recall Van (HD) telling me that he preferred the shorter jackets since he didn't like sit on one.

I agree on driving with a jacket on. I got a truck. So it's now easier, but when I had a smaller car, I took my leather jackets off always. On a bike, I like length to cover the waist in a spill and to keep wind out. Driving not so much.

An new FQHH to drive a car? If you like peering over the front collar to see where you are going, they are the coolest thing around.......
