Leather Elbow-patched Sweaters?

So I've been looking everywhere online for (non-suede) leather elbowed sweaters and they are either a) incredibly expensive ($250+) or b) suede.

I've actually went to a thrift store and purchased some leather jackets to cut up (like the one in my pic). I traced and cut into the leather using 2 joined audio CDs and a ruler (turning an '8' into a '0'). I then punctured holes into the leather patches making them easier for sewing by hand - which I did after 1/2 hour for each elbow patch.

The overall look is very nice, but the time and tediousity of it is unpractical.
Does anyone know any sites that carry good quality leather-elbowed sweaters at a reasonible price?

Or if anyone has any experience (and a rough idea for a $quote) with tailors in providing them the materials (sweater + elbow patches) to combine the two? I imagine that most elbow-patched sweaters have their patches sewn in the 'pre-sweater sleeve stage' (where it is just but a rectangle with a patch easily sewn on it by machine and then side edges are met and stitched to form a sleeve)

Patched?

The only ones I've seen are made in England. The English, Irish and the Scots all make long lasting sweaters. They're pricey. But worth every penny.

Yeah I was expecting the sweater to be made in any of those places. So....know any places/sites/brand names in those countries?
