Hi,

I've not posted much on here but always check out the valuable resources, recommendations and enjoy reading through posts on here..

Apologies if this has been asked already but I couldn't find a link.

I'm looking for a black leather belt that is going to last me a long time and not break the bank. Based in the UK so uk makers or sellers would be great.

Can anyone recommend something that is going to be well made, go with most outfits and be a good option please without costing hundreds?

Appreciate the help in advance!

Thanks

I know that you asked for UK vendors but since no one has yet responded, I thought I'd share with you the makers I'm most recently familiar with. After doing some recent searches, there seem to be a number of custom makers doing business on Instagram as well but belts have gotten pricey. All of these were purchased in the $100-$135 range.

I have two ranger belts that were made for me by this shop over 5 years ago. High quality bridle leather and lined. He does custom work, so make an inquiry about what you're after if you don't see it offered.

Custom Leather Belts. Hand Crafted in the USA.
Recently bought a black, basket weave stamped belt from this co. 1 1/2' tapering to 3/4" harness leather strap, unlined.

1.5 Tapper to 1 Carry Belt .25 Thick made to Order - Etsy
Have an order in for a belt with this maker. Delivery expected in a couple of weeks.

I’m really happy with this all black belt by Nordic Edc. Handmade by one guy. Not in the uk but quite close by. https://www.nordicedc.com/product/classic-leather-belt-dark-edition/

RM Williams. Look no further. You can definitely get them in the UK (as we saw them on our last visit). But you will pay a premium.

Will last forever and then some.

Hey, both of my old leather belts are unraveling and getting tired. I'd appreciate recommendations for quality leather belts that double as standard daily belt and for IWB concealed carry.

Thank you in advance!
The thick belt posted above by Jonas would be excellent for concealed carry. It would hold up your IWB with no problem

I have an Amish made leather belt that I bought about 6/7 years ago. I wear it daily to work, my work involves a lot of heavy lifting and the belt has held up perfectly. Only issue is I've lost quite a bit of weight and had to buy a new one. I really love the belt, too, I got the wax brown one with western/figure 8 stitching.

I dress casually, always in denims and the belt goes great with them. The company is called Yoder Leather. They have an eBay store, that's where I bought the belt and they ship to the UK.

Their eBay store.

Hope this is helpful.

Etsy appears to be blocked at my current location so can't zone in on specific sellers, but I've had some very good stuff from them. For denims, I paid around thirty quid (each) for a couple of very good Amish-made belts four or five years ago. Those have held up well and I suspect will outlive me.

For something that will find on a pair of regular trousers rather than jeans, very pleased with this: https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B09MHVZFPY?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details

Ive been very happy with "Heidelberg" Belts made by Langer & Messmer. They use vegetable tanned German calf skin & Italian made brass buckles. What I like about them aesthetically is the high stitch count, which makes them look more refined than many more pricey options. At about €100 a piece I feel the price is right for a German made belt of this quality.

perhaps not what you're looking for but I thought Id put it out there as another option anyway.

I’m currently in the same boat and looking for a quality belt made in the UK. I found these so far and wondered if anyone had any insight on these manufacturers/makes?
Tanner Bates and OGL belts. Both are available in the UK. I’m looking for a natural leather belt which will age with me and my selvage denim.

Hi there!

Please excuse me butting in here — over the last few years my general searches for information on certain garments (Mackinaw cruisers, Pendleton board shirts and much more recently traditional Guernseys) have caused me to read quite a few threads on here, and duly informed me on sizings for given brands and even where find the best places to shop for the aforementioned.

With that in mind, and given that the OP and several other posters have asked about leather belts made in the UK, I was prompted to join and tell you in turn about Devon-based Heistercamp leathers. It’s a family business consisting of dad, mum and two sons iirc, and they do everything by hand and to order — and to my mind they aren’t expensive considering the quality of the things that they make.

I’m not affiliated in any way — just a customer — and have used them mainly for their guitar-straps (of which I think I have around 10 nowadays).

But I also have two of their belts and they very graciously custom-made me some pre-amp holders for my ‘job’ as a musician. Their stuff is buy-for-life quality.

Here’s their website: https://www.heistercamp.co.uk/

I hope that helps someone, as like I said, I have been helped by things I’ve read here before and hoped I could return a bit of that.

Rick.
