I seem to recall you selling a great fitting jacket recently to find this one I think? and me thinking you were crazy.....

Now not so much.....

“It’s Fabulous”

Thanks and yes, it was painful selling my new 30's half belt in thick steer.- Leather is gorgeous on that- Found a happy home though.

thats a really cool fitting, broken in cool fit. made me wonder why people would spend a decade wishing to get the same look while this hide looks great from the start.

I am 1 1/2 hours away from Niagara Falls NY. I cross the border and pick up at my CBI Military Road address.
Wear it home. Zero custom fees, no extra charge for shipping, faster delivery.
Colin - Post those pics when it arrives please. Best fit I have ever had but would have said you were crazy to suggest I would drop $1600 usd on a jacket. But so worth it.

Will do. Mine is $1150 plus shipping but I had no padding or mouton collar added and I omitted the side zips.

Langlitz sent my hide samples out over a month ago and still have not received them due to the postal strike. I am pretty sure I am going with the medium weight black cow hide. This is an everyday jacket and not really a riding jacket so as long as their medium is similar to Vanson's comp weight it will be no problem.

The medium weight black is chrome tanned and definitely has a top coating making it more water resistant. That said the "colored" leather is much softer but no less thick. I would say that the langlitz colored leather has a much more spongy texture/feel not unlike the heavy weight steer hide I had in black from Aero in the 30's style. There is a big difference.
I honestly would get another Langlitz and would stick to the colored leather for casual use. Of course I can say that because I already have a Langlitz in their regular black medium weight cow hide. Either you go with is actually good for on or off the motorcycle. I have zero doubt the colored leather would protect me in a fall.

Lifetime jacket just like Lost World's or Aero.

You are going to love it.

Great jacket. When I was customizing my Chopper I decided to go with a more subtle contrast stitch on the padding. While I love how it came out, your photos are making me think I could have gone with more contrast. Another type of TFL effect I guess, second-guessing prior decisions.
