Just purchased this here at TFL. My first cross zip and don't think it's my style. Lovely jacket and I'm glad I had an opportunity to check it out. I now understand the love and admiration for Langlitz quality and workmanship.
Condition is very good, nicely broken in and quite soft and comfortable for a jacket of its age/weight. Note, image of loose thread (detailed below). Comes from a non-smoking home, no odors other than leather.
Lastly, I just bought my grail jacket (RMC J-100) so I don't see the Langlitz getting much wear for the foreseeable future .
$650 +$20 shipping
Copy & measurements from original FS ad:
This custom made Langlitz Cascade was built in April 2007. It bears the rare "60 Years" anniversary Langlitz tag. It cost me near $1000 and a 7 month wait. Those who know Langlitz are already aware that they don't sell off the rack sizes like 46, 48, XL, etc. They build motorcycle leathers to each person's specific measurements. That being said, all of my other jackets are a size 46 or XL and this is comparable with all of them. I'd call it a L/XL. I'll include measurements below. It's made from their dark brown heavyweight cowhide. At the time they had two different options for lining.. and I chose the heavier lining. All that means is that it's a little more durable than the standard satin lining..more of a heavy duty satin. It has Talon zippers that all work great. This is a tank of a jacket. A few threads on one of the sleeves started coming loose and I tied them together and never had another problem (pic attached). Langlitz would probably fix the issue for free. I used this jacket for a few years on my motorcycle and then once the bike was gone the jacket's been sitting ever since. It has been laying flat, not on a hanger. I'd rather it go to someone who can use it.
Measurements (to the best of my ability) in INCHES:
Shoulders: 21.5
Pit to Pit: 25.5
Back: 25
Sleeve: 26
