My first Langlitz Cascade was perfect, and I mean perfect. It fit amazingly well for a jacket that wasn't made for me. It had all the features I was looking for, and I got it for a very reasonable price.

It's a goatskin jacket, so lighter in weight, just under 4.25 lbs, which a lot of people prefer, and Langlitz actually upsells to their customers, but I'm into heavier stuff for riding, it just makes me feel more secure. So I've been on the lookout for another one in heavier cowhide for a few years now. It has two handwarmer pockets, three inside pockets (including one hidden pocket), and a black satin nylon lining.

Last week, I scored. This one fits me just as well as the first, and is heavier. The only thing it doesn't have that I wanted was the pinstripes on the back, but for the price I got on it, I couldn't pass on it. It weighs 6.0 lbs, and the leather is 1.5mm thick. The pockets are leather lined, even two of the three inside pockets, although it doesn't have the secret pocket and instead has a zippered wallet pocket on the wearer's right side which the goat jacket doesn't have. The fabric of the lining feels heavier, but coarser, than the satiny lining of the goat.

Putting the two side by side, it's apparent that the goatskin Cascade is not actually black, but a very, very dark brown that looks nearly black in most light, and will fool the eye unless you look close or compare it directly to a true black.

I don't need both of them, so the goat will be going up for sale on the Classified page shortly. I don't have fit pics for either yet, but I'll work on that. I owe a few fit pics on multiple jackets at this point.

Of all jackets I have had- Schott, Aero, Thedi, and Lost World's; Langlitz provides the best in all the categories I was looking for. Getting a very custom fit also contributes to bias!!
All the others were outstanding in their own way.

I finally found a Cascade in black cowhide that has pinstripes on the back and fits me. It arrived yesterday, and it fits perfectly, just as good as the other two. It's vintage, not sure how old but seller claimed from the 60s. Pocket has no name/serial/date in it, so I'm not 100% sure about that, but it's got a Coats Clark main zip, Scovill sleeve zips, and the brass has taken a deep, dark patina, like a dull penny, so it's possible it could be that old. The leather is soft and broken in and unbelievable. I'll have photos and fit pics today/tomorrow at latest.

I love my Cascade and see you love yours as well.

It's such a well-designed jacket. Really comfortable to wear. They really nailed it with the back/shoulder design. And the stripes on the back make yours even more special.
