Knox Premier with box 7 1/8

I just received this from eBay, and the seller was sharp as a marble. It's clearly labeled as a 7 1/8, but she insisted that it was a 7 7/8. Needless to say, it's not for me to keep. It needs a new sweatband, but otherwise is in fine condition. Some very slight divots, nothing that I can show in photos. Liner is yellowish, but unstained, and the binding and ribbon are just fine. Looks like someone started to put in a new sweat and quit. Original price tag and spec sticker under sweat, price reads $26.95, or 28.95, Erie Clbs, Chicago. Mid-brown, 2 1/2" brim, 5 1/2 crown. Does not look like it's had many sharp creases, mostly a center dent, so no real crease "shadows." Box is in great condition for its age (assuming it's the original, I'm not a Knox expert.) I'd like to get $85 shipped (PayPal) for the whole shebang. I'll be putting it on eBay by the weekend if it doesn't sell here. Thanks, Frank

Well, it's taking up space and making my wife way too curious about having so many hatboxes, so I need this hat to leave. Hat and original(?) vintage Knox hatbox, shipped UPS, $48 (PayPal preferred). My photos don't do this hat justice, it was a heartbreaker to see that it wasn't even close to my size. Have Optimo put a new leather sweat in, and it's a jewel. Thanks, Frank

I won't keep it here long at that price, I'm losing half of what I paid for the thing. I'd just like to see a fellow lounge member grab it and use it. If it's not gone in a few days, I'll have someone throw a new sweat in it and give it to a family member. Thanks for looking. Frank
