Thanks guys.
After my wife went to our favorite grocery store and bought a lot of coffee I was inspired to finish my second knife...
The steel is O1 and the handle is made of Buffalo horn.

Someone awhile back mentioned Randall made knives, so I thought I'd throw a couple into the mix.

The top most is a model 1 with a six inch blade and the one on the bottom is a model 16 "diver's" knife with a 7 inch blade. Both are well used and have been to "foreign shores".

The only problem I have is that there are only 24 hours in one day...
And coffee helps me a lot :D.
Right now I am working on a knife for a good friend, will show some pics in the near future (but I do not want to go "off-topic" too much as this is not a knife forum...).
The knife with the buffalo horn is for sale. Will place it on the classifieds list.

Dust on a shelf? If you have enough knives, some are going to collect dust, and I guess some are shelf pieces (I really don't use finger-ring B/T knives), but I do use a lot of knives, have knives in my shop, knives in each fishing bag, and my collectible display knives also get used. It's a joy to make picking your knife part of packing for the outing.

If all else fails, we can go to Lockhart and eat BBQ. Traditional TX BBQ was a German butcher who served smoked meat from a butcher's counter - to the migrant field workers. You bought your meat, a tomato, an onion, he wraps it in butcher paper and hands it to you - now you're on your own. A coke from the vending machine (whatever kind you choose).
If you're from here, you eat with your pocket knife. Today, they offer plastic forks and knives, even iced tea and potato salad, but if you ask for the plastic, everyone knows you're not from here

Well, if you look at Lynn (Cook) and Barry Dawson knives, you will see a lot of style similarities with the John Roy. Like a good bamboo rod maker (e.g. Bob Summers to John Pickard), a good knife maker like Barry Dawson is going to mentor a "school" of students - of course including his daughter.

Imitation is sincere flattery.

The last couple of months were very busy for me. Lots of work, but I picked up knife-making again. Just finished a couple of knives who are about to get hardenend and tempered on my field forge. Will place pics soon, gents.

Here some knives I use a lot
Randall Fireman with martin sheath www.martinsheaths.com http://martinsheaths.blogspot.nl/
Martin makes sheaths out of kydex, leather and a combi kydex-leather. Just made for life and gives a snug fit and classy look.

This is the Dutch army trenchknife. The only fighting knife ever officially produced to the Dutch militairy. Made in 1917 and early 1918. Only 50.000 were produced, all numbered. Mine has matching numbers on both knife and scabbard. Official name is "stormdolk" (stormdagger), as it was initially ment for stormtroops. In the mid-20's all knives were turned in and were stored. Just before WW2 started all knives were re-issued again to the troops.

Been collecting knives for a long time, mostly vintage pocket knives. Fortunate to call maker Phil Boguszewski a friend and practically neighbor. I have too many knives to count but this one is my favorite. Cobra flipper with antique ivory micarta checkered scales and orange peel titanium bolsters:
