Searched around and couldn't find any previous threads mentioning this:

Subtle changes polish art deco gem’s image Most of the work in Music Hall’s renovation is behind the scenes
More renovation work at Music Hall waiting in the wings.

The firm handling the project, Holzman Moss, also renovated the New Amsterdam (home of Disney’s “Mary Poppins”) and New Victory theaters on 42nd Street off Times Square.

Although Kansas City is known more for its stockyards (which are no longer there) than its architecture, it has some fantastic Art Deco buildings. I hope one day soon to take some pictures of the best examples, and if I do I'll post them here.

Unquestionably, Radio City Musical Hall is a knockout, but I've always preferred this place, because the few extra years between their respective designs gave this one the advantage in streamlining. If this one had been built in NYC instead of in the heartland of America, everyone in the country would know it. Same with Kem Weber's incredible Bixby house, which I discovered in a 1947 interior decorating book back when I was still in 7th grade. Anyway, I can't wait to see this place brought back to its original beauty.
