Filson roughout fit check

Hello, I was looking for a Filson jacket in roughout but being in France made it impossible to try.
Based on the review I found online, people said it was either true to size or to size up for layering.
Being 5.10, weighting 160 and having a not very broader chest at 38ish I went with a medium (my size usually) but finding it to be a bit roomy. On these photos I’m only wearing a flannel shirt, leaves room for layers.
What do you think of the fit? North Americans seem to wear less fitted clothes than Europeans.

I think it looks good, given how you are also wearing baggy pants etc. it suits the look.

It also depends how you want to wear it, if you prefer to use it in colder weather then it makes sense to be able to layer.

I think it looks fine. Definitely not worth an exchange. Fwiw we are the same size, i’m a med in most everything but a small in filson. filson seems designed for the bigger fella.

Looks cool. I think a fitted/trim jacket would look quite silly with a hanging shirt and baggy-ish denim. So it fits the vibe you seem to be going for.

Thanks guys for the feedback. I had read on Filson page that people had to size up compare to their usual Filson sizing. Turns out inaccurate. Anyway I guess it’s a comfort of mouvement vs fit battle and each has its advantages. Can feel while driving that it’s not so lose either on the shoulders.

It’s an eternal battle exacerbated by social media. In the end do you want it to be comfortable for life or look good for other guys on line. Sometimes the two overlap. Not too often.
