This is so stupid! I never even saw a pair of boots with repairs like these.
Even if it was “cool” to someone for that kind of money it’s very uncool. To be clear I don’t like them at all. But different tastes for different folks. But for 2,300 no one should ever buy these.

Per S&S:
Clinch have opted in the extreme other direction, using imperfect Japanese deer hides with damage from hunting and transport, and finishing them with natural tanning and dyeing techniques that leave the leather as unprocessed as possible. Rather than cut around the blemishes and imperfections in the hides, Clinch have highlighted them, with contrast patchwork repair, "darning" embroidery, and repair details throughout the wholecut uppers on every pair.
So they use damaged parts of the leather that they don't cut around and "repair" them, which brings the price to their first-grade pairs. Some expensive cobbling involved.
