My tin foil hat says that they (Fine Creek gang) is being groomed to become the next Freewheelers. There are more forces at work than just these young kids out front. Of course, my conspiracy theory can easily be squashed if Freewheelers would just start taking leather jacket pre-orders again and actually delivers them.

Freewheelers Speed Demon started its childhood as this Bootlegger Hipster Reunion jacket...

Don't know why Fine Creek gets the traction it does to be honest. Their patterns don't look the best in my opinion and they are quite popular and go for high prices even in the domestic market, where most Japanese brands will drop way more in value compared to retail... This stitching quality is shocking, I thought at the least their construction quality would be their saving grace, but not the case here.

At Standard & Strange more is better. This Simmons Bilt collab has it all: Hercules back, back gussets, laces (but the inside leather hem is one piece) and a belt. Frankenstein 2.0

The Hercules back looks bizarre on this jacket. It looks good on a half belt because it ends at the waist and emphasises the waist taper. On this jacket, it goes down to around the hip so the panels look extra long and weird. Taper looks fine on the image but on the model it just looks weird and doesn't give the same illusion as the Hercules does, just looks the same width to my eye.

full belt over the lacing with contrasting flat leather lace look is the sloppiest thing I've ever seen, its amazing with such redundancy measures to shape the torso their jacket still look like shapeless box over the model.

Arcturus by bootes bros? It looks like a FC with a fake Schott label. ¥279950 lol. I wonder why on earth someone would buy such thing. There's plenty of Schott stores in Japan, three in Tokyo alone. For ¥280k you can buy the fanciest Schott Perfecto one can think of and have a thick stack of Yen bills left in your pocket. Make 0 sense to me.
