I thought the whole point of this scene was to move away from this embossed trash? This looks disgusting.

I think it's a great looking jacket. I like the design and the brass hardware. Would embossed leather be my first choice? Probably not. Is this something they would have made back in the days? Probably not. But I do think it looks good. I would buy something like this if it wouldn't be crazy expensive like it is.

And to be clear it’s not the design. Or the brass. Actually like both a lot. It’s just to me personally the grossest leather. I despise that look. But to each their own, some people obviously like it or they wouldn’t have made it.

Oh yeah, the jacket itself is very nice and I really like it but that leather is literally the ugliest I've ever seen being used in the high end market - Or the lowest of the low end fakes market, for that matter. That's the kind of crap those cheap knock-off purses were made of in the 80's. I thought they dropped that horror for good and for a reason. Thanks to the internet, most people can spot a really bad leather nowadays so I just cannot comprehend what in the world were they thinking while making this. Nobody is going to say hey, that looks great! Or at least I don't think anyone will because to me, it's the exact opposite of what this whole market is about.
Sourcing nicer and nicer leather which to me translates to the most natural looking leather, was what this was all about or at least that's what I thought because not having to wear cheap looking embossed leather is precisely why I got into this hobby.

I mean, why even bother with the horsehide!? What difference does it make at this point? Is it really necessary to use horsehide? Or any hide for that matter? Is it necessary to point out what animal it belonged to? Because it no longer resembles leather of any kind. They could call it cheap vinyl car seat leather.

Then again, the jacket sold out in all the small sizes so who knows...

So this is borderline... No, it's actually flat out fraudulent and deceptive advertising on Cluth part. Nonsense about "ultra rare" 1930's jacket and "Art Deco buttons" aside but - and given that this jacket isn't made out of an actual leather turned inside out, which it isn't - what exactly is "full grain suede"!? Do they even understand the words they use???

Not only that, but what is "12mm Shinki Horsehide Suede"??? That might've been a typo and they wanted to say 1.2 mm but still..! It is one bit of info that's at least somewhat important and the only one they've gotten wrong.
