Just lookin' for a little something for my Pilot's Kit

Well hello everyone-

I have a WW2 party I'm attending on June 6th and I need to get my Pilot's Kit in order. I'm looking into getting my A-2 painted up and having my name tags properly sewn on instead of just super glued.

What I'm writing to ask is if by chance anyone happens to have an extra "U.S." collar pin lying around that I can have. I already have the "Propeller w/wings" I just need the U.S. one for the other collar.

I mean if you have a spare lying around why not let me get my hands on it.

Just thought I'd give it a shot.

What period of the war are you doing? As for the majority of it you'd be wearing ones rank on the right handside of the collar, not the "US" cypher

I used a modern issued one as they are the same on my WWII coat. The problem was they had different degrees of finish. Most insignia companies have them.

it the event i happening on june 6th, i would assume that is to coincide with d-day, 1944.

Yeah it's going to be a D-Day event. I was thinking about using a current one. I don't have a military supply store in my area. That's why I thought I'd take a peek on here to see if anyone had a spare.
