I think this suit I just got today may be of this Bold Look. I don't have pictures yet, but it is rather big on me too, especially about the shoulders, but the pants actually fit. Here is the auction:

What's tough to see is that the lapels are rather wide and the pocket flaps are huge. The fabric is heavy and has body, but incredibly smooth and soft. Perfection.

I can see how you might think so. However, this suit is from the late 1960s or early '70s. The large pocket flaps, the long vent, the relatively slim fit of the pants (at the thigh), and the print lining indicate this.

I know that sound! HAhahahahaha, that's sad. It seems you didn't have to fight hard for it... a true "Bold Look" suit would have been some what more to get... there are lots of guys who love the 50's that buy those suits... the bidding would have gone up over 9.99! Also, the pants are pleated and cuffed... they have a full cut to them! Most Bold Suits I find don't have vents either. Use your 40's DB's as a reference... they didn't look much different from them... just wider shoulders and a lose cut with patch pockets. Just think Desi Arnez!
