Monitor. Funny you mention LW russet. In the photo's online- not too impressive. In person I found the russet to be fantastic- compliments from many. Have you seen the LW russet in person??

My vest is made from it and I'm really not a fan. Looks like plastic, TBH and even after it's been worn a LOT. I find their black HH to be so much nicer.

If you need custom I’d have also a serious thought about Greg (field leathers). He’s got Shinki, stitching looks quite immaculate and he is open to customisations.

I had a vest made out of LWs thinner brown hide and it was unimpressive. Now, if your vest is made out of the same hide as my PJ27 I will be quiet— you definitely don’t agree with the hide.

If it were me I'd get one of your great local leather guys - Johnson Leathers in San Fran to make me a jacket. Probably in an aniline goat or one of their amazing naked cowhides.
