well I have a size large.
I'd say approx. it's a 16.5" neck,
24" chest
26" sleeve
21" shoulders

I'm a 40R jacket and this is a bit big as I like a closer cut but the size smaller had too small a neck for me. And for this style, I dont mind the slightly larger size anyway. And they don't blouse like Peterman shirts. So the slightly oversized cut doesn't look femine or anything. Hope this helps!

Thanks for the measurements Mike. I have been sitting on the fence on this chambray shirt for two or three months. I already have a ton of similar shirts, but it isn't often that something like this is available. The same shirt from Japan would cost 125-150. On ebay, an original like this--with better buttons of course--would probably top 200. With glass or metal buttons, you might expect 300-350.

what would be the best pants to go with this in keeping with the look? without looking like a dungaree dynamo wearing in period repro jeans to match a jean shirt?

thanks for any help :)

Interesting shirt from J. Crew. I wish they'd have it in brown or tan twill instead, though. I do like the way the collar sits a bit better than Ralph Lauren's version, to be honest.

This is exactly the sort of shirt I've been looking for. Unfortunately that price is exorbitant!

I have the Land's End version, which for some silly reason they've discontinued. They still offer it in a tattersall, but no longer in the standard blue. Had I known they were going to discontinue it I'd have bought four. At forty bucks it was a steal compared to these!

Chambray shirts are my absolute favorite shirt for summer, but even the Navy version is a cotton/poly blend.
