Is this an authentic vintage cap?

I bought this cap on eBay recently with the seller claiming it's from the '40s. I'm thinking it may be much newer due to the slick shiny liner and modern looking tag. Though it does have a leather headband. Any vintage hat/cap experts know if it's authentic?

Doesn't look vintage to me. Looks like it has that cheesy paper material for the sweatband. Nice enough cap, but I don't think vintage.
