Is it safe to buy RRL from Ali Express?

Hello,
Recently I stumbled upon an online store on AliExpress that sells very discounted RRL jackets. I was wondering if anyone had any experience buying items from well known brands like RRL from websites like Aliexpress? The items seem be legit and they have very good reviews but it is hard to be sure. If you had any advice, it would be greatly appreciated. My apologies if this is the wrong thread for this kind of question.

Aliexpress is based out of China. RRL is mostly made in China so it is plausible that they have access to the local manufacturer of the real RRL stuff, assuming it’s not fake. But chances are if the prices are too good to be true, they are likely too good to be true.

RRL is pretty expensive in China, every time I hear of stories of factories stealing or producing extra "unauthorised authentic" goods I doubt those claims. Especially with larger brands that should have tighter security protocol. Occam's razor, I think being a fake is more likely and easy explanation.

I agree, trust your gut, why would something be cheap if it's brand new? The most plausible scenarios are private sellers that didn't like it, if they have it cheap and fully stocked, most likely it's a replica, especially if it is a popular brand like RRL

I see a lot of merchants selling on AliExpress, using photos of RRL merchandise. It's easy to rip a photo from somewhere and use it to market something you're selling, whether your actual merchandise is authentic or not. I think there's a lot of rampant knockoff/ripoff/piracy going on, and China doesn't have the same laws that we do here to prevent it -- not that our laws here are even effective at preventing it. So there's really no way to know other than to try ordering something and see if what you get is real or not, assuming you can even tell. A lot of the time it will be rather obvious, assuming you know what the real deal looks like (which failing all else you can just look at their photos and compare to what you get.) But probably it's fake close to 100% of the time and not worth wasting your time on. If they have free returns, or if you trust your credit card's buyer protection, it's probably low risk to try, just be prepared to be disappointed.
