WOW

Dang! That fur gopher sure has been busy!

I love the look. I have NEVER seen a hat like this before, and you can't find one anywhere.

What a "sporty" look.

I particularly like it as it somehow resembles the creases in the high grade Montecristi hats, but this is in a FELT!

Impressive!

Art! You may have created a new classic. I love to see the art of fedora design evolve and develop modern looks on classic designs. Very cool.

I like this one more then the first one. The center crease is nice, but I don?¢‚Ǩ‚Ñ¢t think I could pull it off. But, that?¢‚Ǩ‚Ñ¢s coming from a guy that prefers vintage. I think that this hat will sell very well and it would be refreshing to see others wearing hats again!

I for one love the Optimo style of Panama. It?¢‚Ǩ‚Ñ¢s just the right hat for that white suit that I don?¢‚Ǩ‚Ñ¢t have?¢‚Ǩ¬¶ Yet!:D

Regards.

Now, I like that hat even better than the first (and it was a beauty). This one really is a Ridgeback and it has a sporty safari style that I like.

You create some great hats.

That one's looking good, Art! Who's the target market? While I think most of us think it looks cool, I bet most of us are too stodgy and old fashioned (I include myself) to try to pull it off.

All of this is subjective, of course, but I preferred the look of the first one, with the lines on the side. I have a green Cervo like that. I think this one, with the front-to-back line, would look interesting with an open crown, like a felt optimo.

Thank you all for the input!!
I know this won't ring everyone's bell but that's a good thing. With the new fashion of ladies wearing fedoras these are meant to be a "crossover" style that will work for both sexes or at least, that's the target. Sthill, you are right, they are aimed at a younger market and might not appeal to us conservative types, but then even I can wear something "young" once in a while & get away with it as old as I am!!
MM, I already am blocking felts with an Optimo crown but they are just in the beginning stages and I'm not sure I like the look yet. I had another member suggest the same thing so I started on it a few days ago. I'm thinking a lower crown optimo, but we'll see.
I got to see the new felts today ( and order a bunch) and I am sure there is a color for everyone in the selection. What is missing at the moment are pastels but that will be added in the near future.
More input is welcome!!

That's a fantastic looking ad, JP! Looks like it could have come right out of a 1940's Esquire. Hey, Art, have you gotten JP's bill yet?

Boy, that's some ad! Now I get the "Streamliner" allusion (I knew it was a train, but I forgot there was a line in front of the engine). I think a low felt optimo -- perhaps a bit flat on top, like a classic derby -- with that line, would be very cool. Maybe it could be marketed to the young porkpie crowd.

umm, I'm sure it's in the mail Scott!! For this kind of support I'm sure it won't be enough. Thanks JP...this is just too cool!!

Good idea MM, I'll put in on the board & see what it looks like. My minds eye is telling me it needs a wide brim but I'll work with it to see. The next design ( I will finish by the end of the week) is basically a Streamliner porkpie with a 2 /38 brim. Looks pretty interesting on the block.
