I recently acquired an unworn full Langlitz Set in discontinued heavyweight cowhide. I tried to convince Langlitz to make me one, but no begging and pleasing convinced them to restock, so I started looking at the pre owned market. There I came across this:

An elderly gentleman had this Columbia, matching pants and belt made for him in 1999. He never wore it, both jacket and pants have literally zero wear on them. He drove a hard bargain, knowing what these cost today and knowing that they no longer stock heavyweight cowhide.. (which is a shame, the midweight stuff as well as the newer stuff in general doesn't hold a candle against this older stuff, grain, texture and feel are super luxurious. Langlitz should really re-stock this). Anyway, I bought it along with some other stuff and it arrived very recently at my door. The jacket fits me good enough, but it is a tiny tad large on me where as the pants are too tight.. the later may be the stiffness of the thick hide and me not being used to wearing leather pants, but getting into them for try-on made me realize I will never wear them. So I am contemplating whether to sell just the pants or the whole set in one, depending on what attracts more attention.

I am looking for 1500€ for the whole set; Columbia, Pants, Belt. That is about half of what this would cost new from Langlitz and it is not only unworn but from their no longer available and sought after heavyweight cowhide. The pants on their own I would sell for 600€. If noone is interested, I will just keep it all, not desperate for money.

If anyone is interested in either pants or the whole set, drop me a message and I will post lots of detail pictures, measurements etc..
Jacket is a US 42
Pants are roughly a 32/32

Hi, jacketjunkie,

I'd be interested in seeing more photos of both the pants and the jacket if you care to take the time to shoot and post them. I'm espcially interested in the pants and would like to know if they do or don't have ankle/leg zips, and how long or short those are, how thick the leather is, and in seeing tape measures of the waist size and inseams. I'd also be interested in seeing tape measures of the jacket's shoulder width in back, chest width in front, waist width in front, and overall jacket length in front plus some all-around views of what the jacket looks like. Thanks in advance if you decide to fulfill this request.

A final question for you here too, since you're apparently in Germany: Do you know what the current Germany-to-America shipping/customs duty charges are (percentage)? Thanks if you happen to know the answer to that question.

Hi Don,

Measurements roughly as follows, if these are a match and would fit you, I can verify them with pictures...

Pants Inseam: 76 cm
Pants Outer seam: 108 cm
Waist: 41 cm

Jacket shoulder width: 51 cm
Jacket chest halved, pit to pit: 57 cm
Sleeve length 66 cm
Back length 66 cm.

I don't know about import fees into the US, best to ask a fellow American I guess.

Best,
JJ
