Yeah, the stuff used to be cheap, but now it's going way up for some items. We also get lots of repro stuff made in Russia. All terrific gear and reasonably priced. Sans the horrific shipping.I remember back in the early 90s, Russian warships rocked up in Forsyth for some exhibition, and the sailors would sell tunic badges by the handful.
PM - SENT! When and if I score any dope on the chapeau I'll relay if the OP doesn't respond here.

I posted a "want info" in the FL "Hat " section on this cap. I haven't checked on the VLF yet.
It kinda looks a little like a "Greek Fisherman's short bill cap"...but I may be wrong !
Good Luck to you !

I think it's a perfect second option to a newsboy. As much as I love a crusher I can't see myself pulling it off without looking like I got lost en route to a usaaf reenactors meetup!

Mr Scratch - just wondering if you had pictures of what your jacket looks like 4 years on? I'm currently eyeing a FAI jacket. Do you know if these were made from horside or steerhide as well?
Dear Mr. Scratch! Thanks and welcome back. Nobody could figure out what exactly that cap was so I took your pic and had Mr. Simonds make me one. Look at this thread and tell me what you think...
