Blundstones used to be fine but the quality tailed off, possibly as a result of their production being moved out of Tasmania a few years ago. My last pair lasted a fraction of the time before the soles split, and this led me to try some Redbacks instead. If I’m answering the prompt in the title….last pair of boots I’d own…i.e. apocalypse boot…def just a pair of blunnies. I can ride motorcycles in them, walk in the rain or snow, hike, and I’ve even played a full set of tennis in blundstones.
However my favorite boots are just some Chippewa engineer boots
As said in a previous post in this thread I’ve found the quality, comfort and durability of a pair of Redbacks is head and shoulders above Blundstones and I’d certainly never go back.
I live in a rural area, where the industry is mainly agricultural. It is very noticeable that for quite some time the brand of choice of anyone who wants a pair of elastic sided leather boots is Redback and you’re now unlikely to see anything else being worn.
