I am not much help BUT I purchased a bunch from Ebay, real cheap out of China......don't do it!!! The bags themselves are decent and do the jon but the zippers fell apart after three or four uses. If you find something you like please post the name and source.

Why do you want to "protect" leather. There's only one rule: keep it out of direct sunlight. Other than that fading isn't much of a risk and generally encouraged by aficionados.

These ones are hanging from a pipe in my basement right now, so I want to cover them with something that will keep the dust off of them. [emoji4]

Generally what I do with jackets is fold them and stack them into a large plastic bin with air holes. I used to store around 20 jacket this way (3 bins) and never had any problem with creasing. But why not use an upside down clear rubbish bag with a hole for the hanger hook? It will breath and cover the jacket for a matter of cents.

No actually I have enough already and can see where this could be an issue. Suit bags are an option. Perhaps ask at a local quality retailer, heck they might even give you some if you also offer to buy a few from them. I would say that having seen quite a few leaks develop, if the pipe they are hanging from is filled with fluid (or gas especially) if a leak ever developed, it could and would ruin all of them.

That's possible, of course. But also the house could burn down, or get robbed... I have insurance. But I do want to take precautions.

Nope. I have no interest in artificially aging my jackets. The best way to develop character in any jacket is through honest wear.

I agree with @Seb Lucas in both of his posts. Just let them be. You can always knock the dust off of them when you wear or sell them. But if you feel you must "protect," his idea of the upside down garbage bag is excellent.

I think you can easily find some of these fabric suit storage bags online. I use these to keep most of my jackets in storage. If you use plastic bags, there is a risk that the top coating of your jacket may stick to them if the weather gets too humid and hot, especially if the jackets are pressed tight together in your wardrobe.

You can find cheap breathable suit bags on ebay in packs of 5,10,20 etc.
If i were keeping jackets in a dusty place that's what i would do.

You can also go to a Macy's or any dry cleaner and they'll give you some.The ones at Macy's are a little nicer, and have a zip.
