I need a little 1930s fashion advice

I am celebrating my 40th, high style! I'm having a retro party, dressing circa 1930 - 1935. My dress is two piece - 1930 long, gold silk skirt with a 1933 sequined, low cut sleeveless top. Very sexy. I have been researching EVERYWHERE, and am on the fence on this one: Can jewels to be worn with sequins? I have a short gold diamond necklace. Most of the images I have found show bare necks. Any advice.

Of course! In the 30's it was all about glamour- especially if you're going old Hollywood style. While this may not have been the norm in the "real world", it certainly would be like old Hollywood glamour!
