How many of you guys ordered from the Aero sale?

Generally I tend towards the shorter fit on sleeves too (just onto the hand is fine) but I am a little concerned given that this is before the sleeves wear in and crease, and the jacket is intended for real use on a motorcycle, reaching forward. I have sent a message to Aero to make sure I’m measuring it right, but the max figure I’m getting is 23.75”, rather than the 24.75” we had resolved on.
On my Schott 689H my sleeves actually stayed the same if not stretched a bit longer as I broke it in. What do you ride? mine is a z400 and I use my 689 a lot during the colder months.

That’s interesting, and encouraging, thank you!

I love motorcycles, and tend to have a couple at a time - but at the moment only have a little Kawasaki Ninja 300. I had a ‘90s Harley Softail until recently and will be keeping my eyes open for something similar, but sold it to help with emigrating from the UK back to New Zealand after a quarter century away. I’ve had everything from a 1950 panhead, through old Triumphs (the best being a 1969 Daytona) and multiple Yamahas and Kawasakis. Only had one Honda and that was a VFR800.

Do Aero send dispatch details and tracking numbers when it leaves the warehouse? I ordered something from the stock page last week and added a note asking them to aim for delivery tomorrow if possible, but I haven’t had any kind of update since. It’s not the end of the world if I have to wait a little longer, but I don’t want to stay in the house all day waiting for delivery if it’s definitely not going to show up.

I’m in the UK and when I log in it says awaiting dispatch, if that makes any difference.

Mine got shipped today. I have a tracking number and can see where it is.

Thanks guys. Definitely no DHL email, I guess they’ve missed it due to me asking them to delay dispatching for a few days. I’ve emailed customer support and am sure they’ll sort it.

I'm actually in the market for a new aero again, even after the price hike. I know there was some discussion of linings earlier in the thread, I was wondering if anyone knew how durable the quilted lining is

Received. This is meant to be the tumbled version of the CXL HH (it looks very much like the non-tumbled version in their pictures, and going from my non-tumbled Highwayman) and is the KOTR model but with a fixed mouton collar. The sleeves are a full inch shorter than specified but it still fits reasonably well at the moment, I think? Hopefully they don’t shorten too much as it creases.

Just adding that I have spoken to Aero, and it seems that despite my best efforts I was not measuring the sleeves correctly, and they are as specified. I have to put that down to my own lack of expertise, as I had measured other jackets I already own to inform the sleeve length, and evidently hadn‘t been doing so the right way. I would have preferred a little longer on this particular jacket, but almost every other that I own I would consider this spot on. The difference is only that I will wear this more when reaching for handlebars, and I can always get some longer gloves.

They have also confirmed that this is the tumbled CXL, but that batches vary, and although it doesn’t look like the sample photo it is likely to break in faster because of having been tumbled.

Quick update. Got my J106 chestnut badalassi from DHL Friday night. Walked my dog Fri night and Sat morning with it and on Saturday wore it for a few hours in NYC and the fit to me is great and the measurements are spot on, especially the sleeves and back length. i personally like for it to cover my jean belt bc to me it looks better and it feels better. I hope you enjoy the pics. If there are any criticisms, I wish the zippers were more heavy duty. In the meantime I am going to wear the heck out of it, jacket is about 7lbs and pretty stiff. also there is sound! not really bad at all imo. hoping it will quiet down with wear. definitely gonna wear it on my z400!!

also as for fit, with a t shirt it fits a tiny bit loose. i could go maybe half an inch smaller in p2p and actually did ask but aero cant change p2p. this is 21.5 p2p. its fine bc it leaves me room for layering which you can see in the first pic. looks tight but not really

That looks amazing. So much so that I’ it make me reconsider cross zips.

Obviously too late in this instance but for future reference Aero Leather do have a fair bit of info, along with a diagram, on the various measurements required and how to take them, including sleeve length, under ‘Sizing’ in the FAQ’s on their website.

Wow - those are some quite hefty price increases - the jacket I had had my eye on in particular has gone up from £600 to £900! I'm sure they are worth that amount, but I wasnt expecting that big a leap.
I must agree. The price is just starting to get a little silly now.

Trying to remain apolitical but it has been very widely reported that the forthcoming increases to both employers National Insurance contributions and the minimum wage announced in the recent Budget by the Chancellor of the Exchequer are going to have a significant impact on UK based businesses, both big and small.
For employers in the UK this is going to see yet another increase in their costs which they will either have to absorb or pass onto their customers. I would assume Aero Leather will be no different.

I'm not sure if silly is the correct word. I think like others have mentioned Aero has always been a very good value for what you get. I did consider thedi, lewis, etc but they were all going to cost me around 2k give or take (yes vanson was cheaper but I just didn't like their styles, at least from the pics). Aero is essentially catching up and pricing their jackets according to market value. I think people will still order Aero, and in a year or two we will all forget about this price inc, especially if they run a sale again. For what I paid (about $1100, with import etc) I think it is an incredible value. Just lucky the jacket fits great and looks good IMO :) NGL before it came I had a dream the jacket came and it wasn't what I ordered!!!
