Just changed to "Awaiting Production". I'm soooo excited....Anyone received their custom order from the sales period? It took a long time to lock in my measurements, which was my fault. My order has been sitting as "customer confirmed" for nearly a month. Patience is a virtue and all that but the wait is killing me
Me too! It was customer confirmed for a while. Not sure when it changed to AP but thanks for the heads up.Just changed to "Awaiting Production". I'm soooo excited....
You were awaiting quality control on the 28th so about 10 days after that to delivery. It’s becoming increasingly unlikely mine will get here before Christmas :-/mine arrived 1 week ago..

Actually no, it took 5-6 days to get it delivered. You were awaiting quality control on the 28th so about 10 days after that to delivery. It’s becoming increasingly unlikely mine will get here before Christmas :-/
Oooo, so there’s hope.Actually no, it took 5-6 days to get it delivered.
I was stuck in Castle Donington for 1 day because it missed the flight. Then it went to Germany for another day. Then the NYC for 1 day. Then somehow the UPS go fucked up and didn't deliver it and sat in a warehouse over the weekend.
"Machining" now"Cutting". Yoohoo
Thanks for sharing! I was close to getting the CXLSH but opted for badalassi. Also imo the aero stock pic of the j106 looks much better than the thurston bros stock photo. looking forward to your pics!My order arrived today. Would have been pre-Christmas, but I was traveling for the holidays, and asked Aero to hold off shipping until I got back. They were kind enough to comply!
I ordered a customized J-106 with a King of the Road back, in black CXLSH, with olive stitching and olive stateen lining.
Fit is nice. Roomier than I expected, but it works.
The only thing that surprised me is that the D-pocket zipper closes DOWN, not UP. In my mind, I always thought it would be closed UP.
I went and looked, and found that Aero's photo of the jacket does indeed show the D-pocket closes DOWN. But Thurston Bros' photo shows the opposite! I guess either is "correct" then, so not an error, but all things being equal I would have preferred an up-closing D-pocket. I'm pretty sure all other D-pocket jackets I've owned close UP.

Well alrighty then! They both look great, and a google image search for "aero j-106" shows examples going both ways, and neither looking "wrong". I guess I just never noticed this before, but ok. If you're going to order one and happen to care, make sure you specify when you order!
The CXL Steer is gorgeous. I'll have to post some pics of mine when the lighting is better.
Can't go wrong with either. Badalassi is great. Thanks for sharing! I was close to getting the CXLSH but opted for badalassi. Also imo the aero stock pic of the j106 looks much better than the thurston bros stock photo. looking forward to your pics!
Yep cant wait to see how much "noise" the badalassi's gonna make lolCan't go wrong with either. Badalassi is great.
