Thank you, yes its waxed, some pictures of other colours i've seen it doesnt look so evident but I like the visual texture it seems to have on this one

It looks superb. I love that waxed texture you get sometimes on a lighter coloured fabric. Reminiscent of pull up leather, where it reveals every crease.

The whole look you've got going on is very cool imo.

The only thing I've got incoming at the moment is an impulse-bought SAS utility smock.

It's all oversized and all pockets and stowage, like a 21st century M65.

I had this HD jacket and sold it awhile back. (Me pictured wearing old one) I found another one after a dedicated year long search. Nothing special but I like how it fit and regretted selling it.

This crazy wool number showed up really fast. Doesn’t look like it was worn much at all. Relaxed fit for me, also wears much longer than typical older wool jacket at like 26”. Gotta love it

This was a cheaper buy Japan auctions, only set me back 27 euro winning bid, I liked the colour and style as a spring Madrid jacket

Just got these two beauties delivered from Japan(bought both on Mercari).
One straight zipped wool jacket in navy from "Yankshire/Big Yank" and a tan jacket in a mix of a Lee 91-b + Carhartt Detroit jacket made by Polo Ralph Lauren.

Both jackets fits great so I couldn't be happier right now

Here are some pics of the woolen. It’s a very cool jacket, beautiful leather feels like some pony hide. ******proof Ww2 conmar zipper. I’m a bit of a snob and was bothered by the condition of the upper back although it was definitely wearable. already sold it but here’s pics.

I guess I’m not meant to own this Blatt jacket. I let my similar-age-and-size cousin wear it for a week or two, and he liked it so much, he wanted to buy it off me at cost. I might have roped him into this leather-jacket hobby (and possibly fedora-collecting soon). He now owns 2 leather jackets and I still have 5 in my collection.

I appreciate it's not necessarily the true ethos of heritage outerwear but you could certainly call it militaria.

I would add that it's utterly superb. Brilliant in the ways that an M65 is brilliant - oversized and capacious and utilitarian to a brutal degree.

I fully love it.

I still need to dial in the fit with all the adjustments available, but the great advantage of this sort of thing is that fit doesn't actually matter so much.

Barnabus, I've owned bought and sold a few smocks over the years from ww2 denisons to 1973 smocks and Belgian moon and balls Rhodesia, good smocks are rare now especially camo, if you like it go with it
