Please show the Labels on the inside, then I can tell you more. There should be a Tag stating the exact Date of manufacturing, sometimes inside one of the inner pockets.Thinking of picking up this Hein Gericke (not me in the photos). What do you guys think of it?
I’ve heard Hein Gericke’s quality has deteriorated a lot- can anyone wager a guess when / where this would have been made? View attachment 693646 View attachment 693647
Have asked the seller to share this, will let you know once I receive itThere should be a cloth label inside the Jacket, See above.

But HG usually was decent quality, especially pre 2000.
I wouldn’t worry. Just look at the pictures. It looks real solid.
Would you say it's worth $250. Obviously subjective, but I've never owned a HG before, so not too sureI wouldn’t worry. Just look at the pictures. It looks real solid.
Got it, thanks for the insight!Okay that is one of the newer tags/labels.
You can be pretty sure its calfskin or cowhide, non expensive real motorcycle jackets are never made out of horsehide and sheepskin/goat are not suitable. Every normal HG I own is made out of cowskin.
Not worth 250 Dollars in my opinion, I never paid over 120 Euros for a HG, not even the much nicer "Classics" models. The model is nothing too special, should be able to find Something Like this for much less.
