How many new jackets do you have coming (and how many potential ones)?

It’s funny, I never wanted a shearling jacket or coat but I now get the appeal. The box it came in weighed 8lbs! Definitely a “one and done” style. Feels like something an Eskimo made by hand to hunt polar bears.
Not sure how many opportunities I’ll have to wear it. But when I can I will!

View attachment 678032 Hard to capture but it’s a really cool muted gray, faded brown.
I think it's really cool. I thought it's cold enough in Chicago in the winter that you can wear something like this a lot? Maybe I'm too cold, I can often wear my shearlings from November to March. Anything below 5 Celsius is fine. Ok, maybe a coat like this under 0 ;)

This guy showed up yesterday. Kit Karson looks to be very early 50s, still of the 40s era quality in my opinion. Punk as hell red wool lining, original stud work.

Confirmed my order for what's likely the last Aero wilderness ever made. Must have been a non-starter when they introduced it because it was retired only a year or so after it was debuted. Always loved it though and glad they accomodated my desire to bring it back from the dead

LOve that Red Wool lining, nice solid belt, and attached a bit back. Who make these? Late 40s wool lined? appears to have the look
Thank you. It seems the Guide Master connection is most logical. Lucky to own both, they do seem extremely similar in leather and cut. I particularly love the quality and how they wear a bit longer. These were some high quality jackets. So these are 2 of 3 leather jackets I own.

I love that two star Blatt. I’m new to leather jackets and really want a two star Blatt—I just love that collar shape and the little stud details. With the variety of prices out in the wild, I dont wanna get myself in trouble with my eyes having more expensive taste than my wallet! What do you think is a fair price for a nice Blatt in a 42/44 nowadays? Thanks for any advice you can offer.

Price varies wildly depending on condition, who’s selling it and where it’s listed. In a high end retail setting, a mint one can be $1000 or more. From an uneducated seller on eBay, the same jacket can be $200 or less.

Generally speaking, if you’re lucky to find one in good condition that’s your size, I’d say anywhere in the middle is fair.

Interesting blend of features. Don't recall seeing an example like this. Looks like a California Sportswear jacket. Has the "Cat's eye" look. The Ball and Chains don't show up often. The zipper cuffs with strap appear onvery few CSC jackets. The back is CSC. They always tweaked the front and used the same back. The front zipper stop appears to be a square 40s stop box?

I'm uncertain whether they are Talon ball and chain pulls, but they could be. The stop box looks like the early mid 40s one. I was suspecting Hercules as I had seen a very similar cuff design on one, although I did also suspect CSC. It looked interesting to me and I had to check it out. The jacket is coming from Los Angeles, although that doesn't tell us everything.
