How many new jackets do you have coming (and how many potential ones)?

5* wool incoming to replace the one I’m selling because it’s too small.

I think that was a " better " earlier cooper than the one on Ebay I was contemplating, that is to say I assume they only got worse.

This just has the looks of a fairly modern civilian label, and I would not be surprised if it's a fairly low end jacket that's not even American made like it says, but I do not actually know.
That's a civie version flight jacket. If that's the route you might also want to search Schott 184, there are tons of those jackets around.
Or if military spec G-1 search MIL-J-7823, there are tons "E" ones for good deal but you might want to find earlier ones. Some of them have good deals when the sleeve knits got chopped off, easy fit imo.

Yeah I knew it was a civilian piece, but had just been contemplating it for the price of entry
I have been looking on Ebay and discovered that issue G1'S can be had for about $150 shipped, so I will be on the lookout for one in my size.

Right now I'm just waiting for my cooper A2 so I can decide if it's satisfactory or whether I want to start looking for a USGI Saddlery which are supposed to be superior in a few details.
I saw a nice condition '88 dated Saddlery for about $100 but it's a long, I'll need a regular if I decide the few details matter enough to get one.
I am not planning to jump down the A2 or G1 rabbit hole, so I've gotta be careful that it doesn't inadvertently happen like I know it can.

Another 15% off coupon good through Friday (JST) for Mercari > Fashion > Men.
Yen is creeping up in value so they're probably seeing less sales.

Fromjapan had 10% off all mercari, plus 5% off codes, plus they will try to negotiate another 10% off for you (sellers almost always accept in my experience).

Working on a custom C2 project with Vanson. Trying out some stock models for sizing. This is a 40 with the rayon lining. About 23” chest which is a bit big on me, and .5” bigger than expected from their measurements. Sleeves definitely too long, will probably ask for 1-1.5” off the final make. Really dig the shortness of it.

Thinking I might be between sizes a bit here. Maybe the quilted lining 40 or rayon lining 38 would work better?

Any feedback welcome!

Yeah, you are a 38. This 40 you can get away with but my personal experience with Vanson is, they grow bigger with break in, relaxing leather giving here and there, this jacket is one size too large, after break in, it will be 1.5 sizes too large.

edit: body from front does not look too bad, but the back looks huge. if you can lose 2“ at the bottom hem and still zip it up, I‘d size down.
