How many new jackets do you have coming (and how many potential ones)?

Thanks for the insights. I'm in search for a Seattle Woolen half belt myself. Heard a lot of good things about them. But this maker seems to be a rarity. Excited for the hunt, though!

Ah, these mysteries behind these leather jackets. That's what keeps us going.

In fact, I've just got a trucker jacket with a faded label. Couldn't tell which brand it is but after some analysis and research, it turns out to be a 'Hard On Leather' label. This store was similar to Taste of Leather - they don't produce but white-label other makers' jacket.

Now, its location was on Polk St, San Fran, a few doors down from Johnson Leather. I believe JL do make jackets for other people to put their brand on. So after cleaning the trucker, I'm gonna shoot JL a message to see if this is one of their works.

But, something tells me that this is a work of Taubers because of the similarities to @tmitchell59 's Taubers trucker and other Taubers of this time (Hard On Leather was around during the late 70s and closed up shop in 1980).

I'll submit a post with pictures after I get more info from JL. Stay tuned! This one is gonna be a doozy.
Looking forward to seeing your trucker and the Ralphs-Pugh

Filson definitely had its own entire supply chain, making money off the Gold rush going Yukon in the North and San Francisco in the South. Seattle Woolen was part of that supply chain and its location right next to the water meant to me that they had some sort of tanning or finishing going on so it was easy for waste water treatment.
Most of the Canadian industries are surrounding the great lake neighboring the Americans like you said. There isn't a lot going on in the Western provinces.

The Durable brand is so mysterious. I've seen both English Durable brand and French Durable brand. I still think there are two Durable companies, one is American in California, one is from Quebec. For a jacket to travel 3000 miles in the 1950s just seemed a little unreal to me. The trans Canada Highway didn't quite reach BC from the eastern provinces until the early 60s. If the Durable jacket on the Hollywood set was from Canadian origin, then it had one hell of a journey, potentially a greater story than the movie that made it so infamous. 3000 miles, east to west, 1950s...

Langlov quit producing leather around 1956 due to use of synthetic materials.

Seattle Woolen made a variety of jackets with a variety of leathers. They made some very interesting jackets too, most unique. They don't show up often. I've owned a couple with no label, so those exist if you know what you are looking for. I've had their jackets in beautiful Pony hide and heavy as they come horsehide.

I've got a Seattle Woolen for sale now without the label. Looks like a Freewheelers. This was their Police jacket and remained the same from the 30s through the 50s.

I have seen one on eBay, but it’s too small for me. I’ve also seen a few from Japan, but the price is ridiculous.

Thanks for the offer, Terry. But I’m currently looking for a Californian one. The one that Clint Eastwood wore in Highway Patrol. I’m only after a few styles of jacket that I really like.

Which California style is he wearing? Do you have a better image? I've got CSC police jackets.

Nabbed a Buzz Rickson B-10 "Test Sample" (some sort of hybrid between a B-10 and a Navy jacket) in size 38. I'm a size 36 with a single layer and a 38 with a thick sweater on, so I think choosing the 38 was the right decision since there's no tightness issues. It's pretty lightweight compared to its leather counterparts and its alpaca/wool lining is not itchy at all:

I've noticed that the midsection area has a more relaxed fit than what I'm used to, but it looks to be fine with a chunky sweater or any thick insulating layer:

I like it with the G-1 back. Makes a lot of sense. You made the right call not downsizing. The Japanese alpaca wool liners are very nice, they look like curly shearling with a two tone fur color look. I've got a Cushman civi B-15 that I wished it had the addtional features on your Buzz, action back, mouton collar, rayon/cotton double faced shell.

Dude, that is smoking! Love the pleats in the back, the varied grain, the cuff straps, the collar and so on. Just saying, if it doesn’t fit you… hit me up!
You got it man. All I know is the elderly lady that I bought from reckoned its a men's medium. We'll just have to see; should be here in about a week.
