Nice, got any details ?
I saw something similar on Ebay recently, but can't remember the make.
This morning I’m thinking it might be a bit big.
From the bay description:

Vintage Mackinaw or Buffalo Plaid Jacket featuring an aluminum COMAR zipper and black no logo decorative buttons likely dating this coat to the 1950s or early 60s as best estimate. Quilted lining with insulation batting under a heavy wool shell. The makers tag is not present, the wool pattern looks like Filson, the size tag could be Woolrich or even Johnson Woolen Mills of Vermont, whichever brand it is, it is a fine quality coat in very good true vintage condition. The lining has one section sewn overlapped and that looks like it left the mill like that as the quilted cross stitches are line up and are continuous as far as I can tell. The size tag in place reads 38 and the coat measures:

-22 1/2 inches across chest under pits laid flat - 29 1/2 inches length down middle of back not including collar -19 1/2 inches across top of shoulders laid flat seam to seam -23 inch sleeve length from top of shoulder seam to end of cuff

This fine vintage coat in in very good condition, it has two lower front pockets and two breast pockets with flaps. It has a "One Hour Martinizing" cleaners tag still pinned on the lower insider as pictured, I would guess that this lovely vintage jacket was well cared for and put away years and tears ago and is ready for m,any more years of excellent service. please zoom in on all pictures and ask any questions before buying, happy to reply, be sure that the measurements are correct for your needs, this is a generous size 38 meant to have room for layering. Thanks

Interested in hearing any insight.
I don't know who might have made it, but it doesn't look like woolrich or Johnson and definitely not filson.

I don't know about the quilted lining, but based on the pattern and overall style I'm thinking 70's Bemidji woolen mills.

the leather looks very springy and soft from the way the sleeves and lapels vertically drapes while resting on a hanger and sleeve creases don't get set in on it. probably it would drape when worn and look effortless perhaps.
