Received it today. It took two days from Japan only . Decided to have it shipped with Buyee option and they shipped cheaper than EMS, it was with FEDEX and surprisingly it's the first time I haven't had to pay taxes or tariffs which is suspicious.

Fits me great! Sleeves are long enough and it's very sturdy and seems windproof because I rode my Vespa with it and I didn't feel a thing. Zipper might need some help to slide better(I'll check the thread about tips and repairs for help. I recall rubbing a pencil worked)

I'll update with fit pics.

Would love to see some fit pics! Candle wax or bar soap has always helped me with stiff zips.

I have had a self imposed hold on new jackets for over 6 months but I have a serious interest in this one. I had a substantial Polo RL car coat I deeply regret selling 5 years ago. Now this Vanson Model J is calling to me and the voice is getting louder. Yes, I will look like an Irish hitman but sometimes that’s just the way it goes. Anyway, I have not pulled the trigger so to speak but the leather on this one is always what draws me in.

Just received this 1958 (?) LW Foster G-1.
Very excited for this one. The seller listed it as an "80s type bomber jacket" but after researching on the Lounge, I discovered that it's from the 1950s contract. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think around 1958, and the same contract as JFK's jacket. It's also in pretty exceptional shape, with only a little wear on the knits in a couple places. Plus, I think I got it for about half or even a third of what it's going for on eBay, since they didn't really know the extent of what they had. Fits pretty great too, I believe. Oh, and it even had a pair of Nomex gloves in the pocket!

What a beauty! And based on how intact the label stitching is, it looks like it has not seen much wear in the last 60 plus years. I have the same jacket in size 46, The goatskin on these ones is truly something special.

I just received this ribbon tag Schott Perfecto, probably early 60s. It's somewhat odd though as it doesn't have back gussets, zippers are 'naked' and the size tag says 46 while it has a ptp of 23".

Does anyone recognize the model?

It is indeed odd. I'm not a Schott expert but every Schott that I've seen from this era has double welted zips and a double stitch around the shoulder. Not sure if I've seen Schotts with these tags that have the zip sleeves on top. Can you take a full shot of the epaulets?

Epaulets are a weird shape as well.

It’s so hard to know with Schott since they changed things up regularly almost every year. I think it’s an older model within the range of that label. Rare. Nice find!

I received my Vanson x Butterscotch C2RN after a six month wait. The leather on this thing is wonderful. Butterscotch describes it as “soft deer-tanned cow leather” and that seems to be a pretty apt description. Silky smooth and comfortable right out of the box.
Unfortunately the fit is pretty atrocious on me. It fits perfectly up at the shoulders, but balloons out from there and fits more like a poncho than a perfecto. From reading their size chart the next size down would have been too tight, and I’m sure this is true because the shoulders on my jacket are perfect.
Because this was a custom order, and because I am absolutely in love with the leather, I decided to have this one tailored to fit me. I brought it to my tailor here in Berkeley and he thinks he can make it work, I know from past experience that he is very skilled at working on leather jackets so I have high hopes. I’ll keep you guys posted, however it turns out…

Perhaps My experience with my tailor has been overwhelmingly positive whereas my experience with Vanson customer service not so much.
