How many new jackets do you have coming (and how many potential ones)?

Recently, I applied a base coat of Vaseline...

My recollection (this was several months back) is that the Vaseline treatment alone wasn't as good as I had hoped. So I went over it again with Pecards and that's when a deep dark black returned. It seemed like the Vaseline almost "prepped" the leather to respond better to the Pecards than I had previously achieved with Pecards alone. No patina loss.

Then again, I can't tell the difference between Vaseline and Pecards, so who knows?

All leathers seem to respond differently to various treatments, so it's all an experiment to see what works best.

Just put in an order with Aero for a grizzly. Seal Vicenza with mid brown fur, fur collar, strap and buckle cuffs. Now the wait begins. So excited for this jacket!

Did they restock the mid-brown fur then? Last time I asked they only had dark brown, rust, golden and black which I believe is all is showing on the website.

I believe so. The website is only showing black and dark brown as options for the grizzly, but I asked for samples of everything they had available and they sent me the mid brown, dark brown, black and rust.

Metropolitan made jackets for the Detroit Police Dept. The company no longer exists and the building on Macomb is no longer there. Actually, the Detroit Police are now headquartered elsewhere. I’ve not handled one but think I’ve seen a comment or two from some members here who have said they liked their jackets. Please post a review once yours arrives. Nice score.

This is just after a hand wash. As it’s drying, the patina is returning. The Leather Honey should help darken some areas. Hope it looks as good after the leather treatment as it does wet, LOL.

I think you’re right about that, on my last delivery from the US a couple of weeks ago I got very little info until it arrived. Must be a new thing.
