Just scored this off ebay. Coming to Australia from the UK. I am unfamiliar with the maker or brand and wonder if anyone here can shed any light ? Looks very "Highwayman" to me. Going by the rather obvious clues probably "sheep" leather ? View attachment 156802 View attachment 156803

I'm not familiar with the brand, but if it is British in origin, there's a fair likelihood that it's sheep. Sheep was the norm for a lot of British jackets going back, even bike jackets like Lewis in their early 60s heyday.

I certainly would buy it but the 20-21” P2P is a no go. Looks like the thick, real early HH. Seller seems to be a cool dude. I was told it has a “vintage shop” odor so expect something that would have to be mitigated/cleaned. But for that price...sheesh. Throw out a lower offer!

And this one's a perfect example, made from that old heavy HH. Judging by the zippers, it's a really early jacket. Dude won't ship overseas otherwise I'd be long sold.

No kidding. I do have one with the exact P2P measurements and I can zip it but I would need to start running again and lay off the weights for it to be wearable zipped all day. Mine is no kidding one of the “originals” and I don’t want to get rid of it. The perfect example of a 50s version of the Cal. Degenerate that I am I take it out just to look at it. Lol. This one here looks to be just as old with less wear and the fur collar.
