Really nice cossack in deerskin from Trophy Clothing. The deer is from Yukichi Fujioka.
Deer is really sleek and comfortable with a classy drape. Not sure if it will crease or roll at all with how soft it is. doesn't have the ******proof feeling of a hh jacket but has its own vibe.
Surprised at how they can make this lighter leather and also my hummingbird which is like the thickest horsehide I've ever handled.

That’s a great jacket and unusual for Fidelity. If I had to guess I’d say 60’s era steer. Reminds me of the Brent iterations of Windward. Looks like a pop top talon puller? Although that could be a replacement but that pull is a dead giveaway for 60’s-70’s stuff…either way it’s a classic HB. What’s not to like?

Had these two guys waiting for me after my LA trip. Got them both for absolute steals!
First is a late 40’s Beck 444 in perfect mint condition. Couldn’t believe it when I saw this. Luckily for me it had a BIN that’s super cheap for a jacket this rare and in this condition. Measurements were way off but it didn’t even matter. As luck has it, it’s a perfect fit.
Next up is a super rare late 40’s Lewis of LA CHP jacket. It went under the radar on eBay, has some condition issues but it was dirt cheap. It’s a 40-42 and big on me so no fit pics for this one. Bought from the grandson of the original owner whose name is on the jacket and was a patrolman. The few other Lewis jackets I’ve seen also have the wool liner under the rayon which is super cool.

This is now a go. Got Oakland (strap) sleeves added, no zip on pocket and 1.5 inches added to body length. Typically, production time is short. Pics soon.

Those are beautiful jackets. The Lewis looks like a Californian to me. That black lining is in one of my ****** proof Californian heavy duty motorcycle police jacket.

Thank you! Lewis was based in LA just like California Sportswear so it makes sense there are similarities. Another similarity to the Californian jackets is the double stitch around the hand warmer pockets.

First jacket I have purchased in a hot minute. Branded Garments suede cross zip from Japan. Needs some TLC and is horribly impractical for NC weather, but I've wanted a suede cross zip for years and the asking price was cheap.

Thanks, because of my size requirements the back length is 29” . It’s labeled a size 48 but measurements push it to a 50-52 which is my size in most jackets.
