How many new jackets do you have coming (and how many potential ones)?

My "TEST" was custom. I paid all up front. steve
Same for me. It has always been the case. BTW Hh121 be ready to wait longer than usual (2-5 weeks production time according to the website) for a LW jacket. I've placed an order at the end of January for a HH full-bore 42 Russet Test and I'm still waiting. For some reason (weather?), it seems Stuart has a lot of orders backed up. He emailed me last Saturday and told me that he expects to ship in about a week or so. Plus 7-10 days for USP and Canada Post to deliver it to my home. I will get my jacket by the end of May at best. Alas, I won't be able to wear it until Fall. I really don't mind waiting though as long as I get an awesome jacket!

Really?? I always paid full and I don't find it strange (Do I have other choice?)

Well, I agree with Hh121... I have always paid LW in full, upfront. And every jacket was delivered timely.

Stu has no "showroom" and no available stock, so every jacket is essentially a custom job. I just can't see any small business taking the chance of a customer backing out on a sale.

Unless you are bias to LW''s 4.5 oz horsehide, or certain pattern, I don't suggest you go and pay full amount before they start making your jacket.
I, myself like their hide best, but their skill NOW is no supremacy than other maker such as Aero, my old Suburban and Test is the example of perfection. But I don't see that can be apply to my J23.(Still stunning, but not perfect)

That's why you take a deposit. You can easily recoop your "loses" on a jacket if it's been paid 1/2 upfront. Don't be fooled. If you knew the price per square foot of this leather you'd be shocked at the profit margin. Not discounting the skill required but something is rotten with this approach to me. I get it if I'm asking for something super bizarre or custom lengths etc... but the base pattern in an alleged always available hide. That shit stinks to high heaven.

So you canceled your order?

Is that a regular or a long?

What size?

Size 40R stock.
The color is very nice, more like a dark-ish russet and with the “time worn” process applied looks very unique.
I totally recommend this jacket, great Eastman quality product. In fact I like it so much that I’m considering selling others to give this one more attention, I think it will age beautifully.

@ton312 , I'm sure you'll do this new 50's justice but,... if you really want a LW.. I think you should go for it..you cant think about the money..
It's too late;) Already sent my deposit/specs to Carrie. The more I thought about it...I just didn't care for the tone of our email exchange. I'll keep an eye out for a ryder in the previously enjoyed market...never know, it could happen.

TBH I'm a little put off by the full payment upfront. I can see 1/2...not sure how I feel about that. Assuming Stu isn't hit by a NYC bus it shouldn't be a problem. Right?

I remember giving my credit card info first then he would charge as they started making the jacket. And I always paid in full at that point.
