How many new jackets do you have coming (and how many potential ones)?

Greg is great! We had some discussions to get it right - this is the second mock up and I hope it turns out as I have dreamed of :)
Your Frankenstein jacket has been a great inspiration - thank you!

isn't Greg just plain awesome, what a guy. 2 mock up jackets? sounds like this will get you to that optimal fit we are wanting to get out of these custom makes.

no problem man, I did the same with your 4 pocket sheene/highwayman. Aero messed up the hem measurement so i had to get it resized at JL right away.

wash it in the tub with some angelus suede cleaner or light detergent. Be real gentle, slush it around, etc. The color of the water is going to blow your mind. Rinse thoroughly. Let air dry away from direct sunlight. You'll be fine. Once fully dry, you can then use a suede brush to perk it up.

Thank you guys for the cleaning tips. Gives me some confidence about bathing the suede.

@Marc mndt gave his vintage suede trucker a tub bath with outstanding results.
@jpk_NJ I gave this levis trucker a gentle handwash with regular shampoo.

Yep, that gave me inspiration for when I had my Schott Rancher trucker from the 80s. There's a thread on here about it as well. It had a stain I couldn't get out and was overall too small anyway. But the tub wash did wonders. And I think I used some shampoo as well, or maybe the Angelus. But either way, have no fear.

I kept talking about doing a trucker but I decided to go with another half belt in black overdye for my next one. It's just such a versatile style. I wish LW jackets weren't so heavy (and I can tell from the pictures alone they wouldn't fit, and he doesn't do customization) because the Ryder looks real nice.

Seeing those great results, and having washed many leather jackets in soapy water, I am more and more convinced that "DRY CLEAN ONLY" is some scam/collusion between leather garment makers and dry cleaners...

It's not always a success, one time I actually ruined a jacket. I washed out the tannins, ending up with an ugly dull hide. The body length shrunk by almost 3 inches (while the lining wad still original length).

Vegetable tanned leathers are trickier than chrome tanned. Lambskin being the trickiest.

Put my order in for an Aero Highwayman in seal vicenza leather on 25th of october and got a shipping notification yesterday. I was expecting a 16 week wait but this exceeds my expectations.

Also in the process of ordering a Simmons Bilt tailgunner in Blattwerk brown.

Getting my SJC 33 back from Dena, she added 2” banded leather cuffs and navy blue storm cuffs to Mach the main zipper tape. As usual, her work is simply magnificent.

Lovely job. I see on the latest version of the 33, Simon has added a leather top to the collar; it would be nice to see cuffs and perhaps the halfbelt in leather too as detailing. Useful mod to be able to do if the cuffs were to fray, as well.
