@navetsea Really really nice and unique design. I've been following your "project" for some time and I think the result is excellent as most of your other jackets are (especially the blue one).

The Hercules half belt arrived today. Will do a more thorough write up but here’s a few quick shots. Suffice to say the fit feels GREAT. I’ll probably have to fiddle with the belt straps to get it just right but that’s no biggie.

I ordered this from Bally 40% off Bull leather bikers style. I have been wanting this jacket for about 6 months but always scoffed at the price. At 40% it's still not exactly good value but for some reason I love the look of the jacket.

Bought a pair of their 1970ish retro-sneakers (“Vita-Parcour”) two years ago and was MOST impressed with the quality. They were made from yellow calf-suede, and you wouldn’t believe the amount of compliments from beautiful ladies I got for them. Never happens with any of my jackets...

I don't know where you got the idea of it being the price of 2 himels, they're actually cheaper on average

The jacket of RiceKnight retails at GBP 2.200, so we are talking serious money here...

Most of Bally's leather jackets are lamb skin, but sometimes they do something more substantial like this one in bull hide. I almost bought a lamb skin one in Switzerland at Christmas sale, but I thought it wasn't worth the price even on sale and ended up buying a Himel jacket instead that time actually.

Hey, RiceKnight, I hope I did not come across as lecturing you or judging your decision. I certainly did not mean to, and I have my own share of fashion-stuff.
I would never question personal taste, and as I said I find Bally makes a high-quality product.

I think fashion stuff has its place when unique and good quality. I have just one piece - a Dolce and Gabbana cafe racer made from indestructible kangaroo hide. Love it to death, will never sell it. But the MSRP was crazy, about $2000 fifteen years ago, I got it used for $250.

Original 40’s?-50’s? Windward. I’ve tried several repros/interpretations of this design from Vanson, the Gambler/Arrow and Raid. I always wanted an original. I put the fit probability at 89.576% given the measurements. The funny thing is that I’m not overly concerned about the fit. I just want to experience this jacket. It’s loaded with French seams and the little details, like the false button cuffs look so cool. With any luck it should be here early next week.

Bally has been in the leather business for many years and their quality is first rate. I have a Bally lamb jacket and, while it is not as hearty or robust as a HH jacket, it is nevertheless a stellar garment. That said, I haven't worn it in years because my preferences have changed.
