How many new jackets do you have coming (and how many potential ones)?

Decided to finally take a gamble on this vintage All Weather horsehide half-belt. I realize the painted backside may not be for everyone, but it's there, and I can live with it. I've been after this particular style for awhile - always reminds me of Snake Plissken's jacket. Might toss this one up in the classifieds if the arms wind up being too short on me.

I like your style Regius. You don’t just get a new jacket, you get three new jackets at a time.

Was thinking the same thing. Regius the jacket baller! Hopefully with a better keeper ratio than me! I'm 2 for 4 the past two weeks but it could be worse I suppose!

Tonight I FINALLY unboxed my first real leather jacket, a CXL FQHH Aero Hooch Hauler. The leather is gorgeous and smells great, and the jacket is so stiff I can't bend over in it :D. The fit is better than I expected right out of the box, and I have high hopes that as it breaks in it'll eventually look great (and less shiny!). Some fit pictures are attached. Please excuse the shiny gym shorts, but it's not cool enough tonight to wear the jacket and long pants o_O

I really want to thank @El Marro, @ProteinNerd, @torfjord and everyone else on this board who patiently engaged with all my newbie questions and helped me sort through all the possibilities, to end up with a jacket I think I'm going to love. You guys are a fun and supportive community, and even if I don't get the jacket fever you share (I hope), I've really enjoyed being part of it.

Perfect fit, the sleeves are great as well. I hadn't noticed the back on the hooch hauler before, it's crazy.

Super stoked on this incoming jacket. A late 60's (I believe) labeled Harley two pocket cafe in an uber rare size 46 - all hardware original/functional and inner lining is mint. Besides getting a nice early one pocket Harley Sportster jacket, this Harley model has been top on my list. Dierks Bentley wore one of these years ago and the leather on his jacket obtained a phenomenal marbling/patina effect. This one seems to have just begun it's patina journey, and I hope to finish it. Fit pics to come once it arrives.

rockabilly, I just got an identical one in 40-42 off bay. We can compare notes. Can't wait to see it, just real unhappy ebay started charging sales tax due to SCOTUS ruling. Oh well.

Will - sounds like a plan! I think we're both gonna be quite happy. Mine should be arriving tomorrow, with fit pics to follow.

It really looks terrific on you, I love the hooch hauler pattern. Just want to add one more thing: get out now if you don’t want to become a crazy jacket collection completionist like so many of us here. It’s the middle of summer and I’ve had three winter jackets delivered in the last three weeks. I’m super happy about it, but it’s really not rational.

I've had a couple of all weather label jackets. Both were very well-made no-nonsense jackets. My guess is this is just a label for a another Bay Area maker. I don't know who the maker would be. I would think a large maker since the all-weather label shows up fairly regularly. This is a very interesting jacket. Any idea what the graphic is on back? What it represents?

Thanks everyone, I appreciate all the F*** Yeahs! I forgot to also thank Carrie at Thurston, who patiently answered all my questions and gave me really great advice throughout the process. She's great to work with.

@torfjord , I'm out! I hope... ;)

I think you're right about the label - it would be interesting to find out whom the parent company was. As for the painting on the backside, the vintage dealer called it an iron cross - good of a guess as any I suppose. I imagine it was only significant to the original owner of the jacket.
